Kalamata Dance Megaron / Alternative Stage

THOMAS HAUERT & ERMIS MALKOTSIS

For All We Know

About the performance

For All We Know became the intuitive and instant title of this improvised stage reunion of Ermis Malkotsis and Thomas Hauert. The two dancers met more than 20 years ago, matched up for an improvised duet in the series Sushi 10 curated by David Zambrano in Amsterdam, and went on to dance together in the group piece Twelve Flies Went Out At Noon directed by David Zambrano. It was an exciting, extraordinary match, and future collaborations were imagined and dreamt of. But as life goes and time flies: “For all we know, we may never meet again… tomorrow may never come, for all we know”. A lot has happened in the meantime. Now the Kalamata International Dance Festival proposes that tomorrow could come after all. The confusion with another song also called “For All We Know” immediately blurred our understanding and the line “strangers in many ways” from that other song then seemed to add an interesting twist…
