Keep Dancing educational programme for school students
The Kalamata International Dance Festival launched the Keep Dancing educational programme in the 2018–2019 season, in collaboration with the Kalamata Municipal Dance School, prioritising the training of dancers from the city and surrounding areas.
Since 2025, with the aim of strengthening dance activities within the local community, the programme has expanded to include workshops for dance enthusiasts and specialised groups of all ages, running throughout the year. From 2026, Keep Dancing extends geographically to the wider Messinia region, with the support of the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation.
These workshops aim to provide new stimuli for the city’s dance students as well as for social groups—including citizens aged 65+, parents, children and teens, people with disabilities, educators, and others—from Kalamata and the surrounding region. Through this programme, and in collaboration with established and specialised dance teachers, we seek to open new spaces for inspiration, learning, and creativity.
Keep Dancing @ Methoni and Keep Dancing @ Filiatra are realised with the generous support of the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation.
