In 2013, she founded the “MAN” Dance Company, which has received funding from the Hellenic Ministry of Culture for all its recent productions. She has been working as a movement director for theatre performances and operas, and she teaches contemporary dance and improvisation for all ages.
She is a mother of two children and is currently working on two new performances: Common Ground (MVtanztan/KDF) and Lead (All of Greece One Culture).
This workshop is addressed to people between the ages of 7 and 14.
Play to dance, dance to play.
How can movement and non-verbal communication help us move beyond our concerns for the future? Is it OK if we just dance it out for two days?
In this workshop, we are going to communicate with each other through our bodies and through games. Using tools of improvisation, we are going to dance in the moment, share our dance with the people around us, and simply enjoy ourselves. We are going to address our thoughts and concerns, transform them into movement and collaborative drawings, and communicate with each other on a different level of awareness. We are going to try not to care about how we look, how we dance, or how we sound. We aim to be ourselves with no filters, no past, and no future.
The workshop is free
Registration is by reservation at kidf@kalamatadancefestival.gr
