The Kalamata International Dance Centre was founded in the spring of 1995 within the framework of the Hellenic National Cultural Network of Cities, with the objective of supporting, promoting and presenting the art of dance. It is active in three areas: research, education, artistic creation and production. It has established the Kalamata International Dance Festival, which it continues to organise annually.
