In collaboration with the Municipality of Argos[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1775688961340{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”zoomIn” css=””]As part of the programme\u00a0DANCE IN CITIES OF THE PELOPONNESE<\/strong>, implemented for the sixth consecutive year in collaboration with the\u00a0Region of Peloponnese<\/strong>, the production\u00a0Do Birds Dream of Flying?<\/em>\u00a0by\u00a0Fabla Collective<\/strong>\u00a0travels to different cities across the Peloponnese during the Festival:\u00a0Corinth<\/strong>,\u00a0Areopoli<\/strong>,\u00a0Argos<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Tripoli<\/strong>, in collaboration with the municipalities of the cities, as well as at\u00a0Navarino Agora of Costa Navarino<\/strong>\u00a0with the support of the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation.<\/p>\n

Finally,\u00a0within the framework of a new collaboration with the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation, the performance will be presented in Dimitsana, in collaboration with the Open-Air Water Power Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Description<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css_animation=”zoomIn” css=””]Do Birds Dream of Flying?<\/em> is a performance in which two artists explore themes of balance, freedom, and limitation through movement and an originally designed set piece.<\/p>\n

At the centre of the performance is a swinging and rotating ladder, weighted at its base, which opens up an aerial space usually inaccessible to the human body. Through precise coordination and a keen sense of balance, the performers harness centripetal and centrifugal forces to create the illusion of suspension, flight, and movement through space. As the choreography unfolds, the vertical axis of the ladder appears to extend beyond its physical limits, minimizing contact with the ground and evoking a sense of lightness and freedom.<\/p>\n

Their interaction with the apparatus becomes a poetic dialogue between risk and responsibility, reflecting on how we navigate curiosity while caring for the world around us.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1778162695723{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column]
