KALAMATA DANCE MEGARON[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1775688961340{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”zoomIn” css=””]The Dancing on Screen<\/em><\/strong> section, launched last year to great success, is dedicated to the relationship between dance and the moving image, particularly film, addressing both familiar audiences and viewers experiencing contemporary dance for the first time. It is implemented in collaboration with Filmhouse \/ the New Cinema Club of Kalamata<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, throughout the Festival\u2019s duration, the video installation BARE under<\/strong> by choreographer Vitoria Kotsalou<\/strong> will be screened at the Kalamata Dance Megaron.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1779304264825{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column]

\u201cSensing and signalling between cells is used to build the organism. Sensing and signalling between organisms gives rise to sensing and signalling within them.<\/em>\u201d \u2014 Gosh<\/p>\n

BARE under<\/em> is an immersive one-shot film exploring life beneath the skin and under water \u2014 a state between survival, transformation, and surrender. Through the interplay of body, water, and light, the work approaches evolution as a rhythmic process of constant exchange and becoming.<\/p>\n

Suspended between inhalation and exhalation, the body moves through a fluid landscape where boundaries between in utero and void states dissolve.
