Without spoken words, movement unfolds as a poetic language through which memory is remembered, erased, and reimagined.<\/p>\n<p>The performance is a journey of embodiment in which the body functions as a living archive\u2014carrying, erasing, and reconstructing traces of experience. Like landscapes shaped by time, bodies remain in constant transformation, weathered by experience yet always forming something new. Each movement leaves an imprint, revealing the fragile tension between permanence and impermanence, between what remains and what inevitably fades.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Mountains<\/em>, time is no longer linear. Past, present, and future coexist within the body, intersecting and transforming one another. Movement oscillates between remembering and forgetting, allowing the performer to inhabit shifting states where memory becomes both material and process.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than a solitary journey, the work unfolds as a shared experience between performer and audience. Mountains becomes a ritual of presence\u2014an act of witnessing in which the body carries the echoes of what has been while opening space for what may still Greece, dedicated to contemporary performance, movement research and interdisciplinary artistic creation. It was founded in 2012 by dancer-choreographers Mary Rantou and Evangelia Rantou.<\/p>\n<p>Through its artistic programme, the organisation develops performances, residencies, workshops and educational activities that support artistic experimentation and collaboration. She is a graduate of the Greek National School of Dance and has collaborated with internationally recognized artists, including Dimitris Papaioannou, Euripides Laskaridis, Fotis Nikolaou, Alexandra Waierstall, Sofia Mavragani, Dimitra Trypani, Ioannis Zannos.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, she co-founded the artistic organisation Garage21 and the Garage Performing Arts Center in Corfu. In 2022, she created the ION Arts Festival, an international platform for contemporary dance and performing arts.<\/p>\n<p>As an artistic collaborator of Garage21, she has created works such as <em>Chaos<\/em> (2012), <em>Casp<\/em> (2013), <em>Her: A Portrait of Changes<\/em> (2017), <em>\u03a6\u03c6 | Between Space &amp; Time It\u2019s All Movement<\/em> (2019),<em> \u018e V A<\/em> (2021), <em>The Meat Served at Dinner<\/em> (2022) and <em>Mountains<\/em> (2025).<\/p>\n<p>Her most recent work, <em>Mountains<\/em>, premiered at Biennale Teatro \u2013 La Biennale di Venezia (2025). style=\"\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"dt-highlight\" style=\"background: #0256F6 !important;\">EVANGELIA RANTOU<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Evangelia Rantou<\/strong> is a contemporary dance artist and performer.
