Memory and the instinct for survival permeate the body, revealing the profound fragility of the human condition. Through excerpts from Burning Water by <strong>Andonis Foniadakis<\/strong>, the power, fluidity and unpredictability of water are transformed into movement.<\/p>\n<p>The second part shifts into an intensely physical and ritualistic landscape, where rhythm, instinct and the strength of the collective become an immersive stage experience. Through excerpts from Sonoma by <strong>Marcos Morau<\/strong> and La Veronal, the body becomes a vessel for memory, sound and collective energy.<\/p>\n<p>Two distinct worlds.<\/p>\n<p>One dance education in Greece, was founded in 1937 by Koula Pratsika and, since 1976, has operated as a state institution of higher artistic education under the supervision of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.Over the decades, the School has developed a strong educational framework in which the techniques of classical and contemporary dance intersect with choreographic research and stage practice. director and founder of La Veronal, one of Europe&#8217;s leading contemporary dance companies. Having trained in photography, movement and theatre, he creates works that bring together dance, physical theatre and visual storytelling. In 2013, he was awarded Spain&#8217;s National Dance Award, and in 2023 he was appointed a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture. Foniadakis is an internationally acclaimed Greek choreographer renowned for his radical physicality and architecturally structured movement language. He studied at the Greek National School of Dance in Athens and, with a Maria Callas Foundation scholarship, at the Rudra B\u00e9jart School in Switzerland. As a performer, he danced with B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne and the Ballet de l&#8217;Op\u00e9ra de Lyon before founding his own company, Apotosoma, in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>He has created works for leading companies including the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Sydney Dance Company, Rambert, the Lyon Opera Ballet, the Philadelphia Ballet and B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne. His work also extends to opera and film, with choreographies for opera houses including the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es and the Op\u00e9ra National du Rhin. He served as Artistic Director of the Greek National Ballet from 2016 to 2017. He has received the Danza &#038; Danza Award for Best Choreographer and was named Choreographer of the Year in Tanznetz&#8217;s Critics&#8217; Survey for 2024\u20132025.<\/p>\n<p>Self Portrait A.
