FLYING LOW<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\t\t\tThis is a dance technique created by David Zambrano. The workshop focuses mainly on the dancer\u2019s relationship with the floor. It utilizes simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the centre and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centered state.<\/p>\n

There is a focus on the skeletal structure, which will help improve the dancer\u2019s physical perception and alertness. The class includes partnering work and movement phrases that explore the primary laws of physics: cohesion and expansion.<\/p>\n

When one is moving, the whole room is moving with them. The image of the body constantly spiralling, whether running, walking, or standing – is central to the practice of the whole class. .
\nWorking with spirals helps the dancers move into and out of the floor with ease, while also helping them to perceive themselves and the space from all directions. The spirals propel the class all over the room, both on the ground and upright.<\/p>\n

This is the Flying Low technique.\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t

In the creation of movement compositions, David Zambrano focuses on developing dynamics for complex systems in which leadership emerges as a collective web. In nature, cells do not require a single protein leader to generate life, just as the brain does not rely on one protein to create thought. Following this principle, Zambrano approaches movement creation as a leaderless process.<\/p>\n

Passing Through guides participants through a series of exercises that embody this philosophy. The group generates flexible and complex dynamics\u2014moving together while always leaving space for the unexpected. The ensemble remains in constant motion, leading and following itself, continuously transforming the dance environment.<\/p>\n

Through this practice, participants develop the ability to connect instantly with their surroundings and to make spontaneous, informed choices. These skills support dancers as improvisers, choreographers, and performers within their own work or the work of others.<\/p>\n

IMPROVISATION ON STAGE<\/h3>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\t\t\tLearning to use one\u2019s life experience; being able to consciously and continuously shape one\u2019s energy, integrating body and mind. Instantly becoming anything and anyone. Being fully present on stage, sensing the present moment, transforming the body to catch the right time and place. Finding other possible ways to physically manifest your creativity.<\/p>\n

Opening one\u2019s dancing to infinite possibilities, taking inspiration from within and from outside. Developing a performance from any starting point. Connecting to the whole room as the body spontaneously composes, dancing like a ball of fire.<\/p>\n

Catching the right timing, physically manifesting your imagination, interconnecting constantly, shaping the space, allowing dance performances to emerge under any conditions. Realizing that there is always more creativity inside. Learning how to eloquently transmit with your body language.\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t

<\/span>About<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]David Zambrano<\/strong> has been a monumental figure in the international dance community for more than 40 years, and his passion for cultural exchange continues to influence his work. Zambrano is an ambassador and liaison across many borders, bringing together artists from all over the planet for his projects.
\nHe has taught his own approach to dance in more than 75 countries and has performed at hundreds of venues across the world. His pieces range from set choreography, structured improvisation, and pure improvisation.
\nBorn in Venezuela, Zambrano spent 15 years in New York and now lives in between Amsterdam and Brussels. In 2018 he, together with his partner Mat Voorter, initiated Tictac Art Centre as an artistic home base.
