Program Dance in the city
“We are talking about a society in which there will be no roles other than those chosen or those earned. We are really talking about humanism.” — Εxcerpt from Gloria Steinem’s speech (1971, Washington, DC)
Modulus of Resilience is an ode to the value of effort. An effort that awakens the individual’s ability to self-determine, to construct their own identity, and to create, guilt-free, the multiple roles they perform.
Present-day stories of women from around the world, who have lived and been confined within a collapsing social model.
Women who faced challenges, found the strength to resist, and ultimately survived a system of rules that dictated their behavior, position, and status, come together on stage celebrating the culture of resistance and faith in new (non) norms and principles.
Admission to all Kalamata Main Square performances and side events is free for all.
