ALEGIA PAPAGEORGIOU

Alegia Papageorgiou is a scenographer and visual artist currently based in Athens, Greece. Alegia originally studied Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art in Athens, and then moved to Design and the Performing Arts. She holds a BA in Interior Design (University of Derby, UK), an MA in Scenography (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London, UK), and has also attended the MA ArtScience (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, NL).
She works as a set and costume designer. Her work combines several aesthetic tools, such as video, photography, lighting installations, projection mapping, sculpture, painting, and any other techniques necessary to support a given project.

Alegia’s work experience includes, among others, her collaboration in the world premiere of Edward Bond’s Dea at the Sutton Theatre (UK), various productions for the National Theatre of Greece, the Athens Biennale, the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, the Comédie de Reims (FR), Ugly Duck London (UK), Asylum Chapel London (UK), Euripides Laskarides / OSMOSIS, RootlessRoot  et al, as well as her participation in several art exhibitions and festivals in Athens (GR), Thessaloniki (GR), Patras (GR), Venice (IT), The Hague (NL), Eindhoven (NL), Berlin (DE), Lebanon, Lisbon (PT), Pamplona (ES), Croatia, Larnaca (CY), et al.

MARIA BREGIANNI

Maria Bregianni was born in Kalamata, Greece and currently lives in Athens. She studied at the Greek National School of Dance (KSOT) and at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), earning an Integrated Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
In 2009, Maria collaborated with Dimitris Papaioannou on the production Nowhere at the National Theater of Greece and later on the European Olympic Games in Baku in 2015.

Since 2016, she has danced in several works by Christos Papadopoulos, including Elvedon and Opus. Additionally, she was part of the creation process of his works Ion and Larsen C, both produced by Onassis Stegi. These productions continue to tour theaters and festivals across Europe.
In 2017, Maria participated in rehearsals in Varese, Italy, contributing as a member of the dance ensemble for the cinematic production of Suspiria, directed by Luca Guadagnino and featuring choreography by Damien Jalet. She collaborated with Lenio Kaklea on the creation of the piece The Age of Crime, showcased at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival in 2021. In 2022, she joined the RootlessRoot dance company participating in their production Silence, presented at the 2023 Athens and Epidaurus Festival. 

Maria has also been involved with the Medea Electronique art collective and contributed as a performer to the creation of RED|WHITE – a VR Interactive Installation (2023). She appeared in the short film project Cabin 9 by Yannis Nikolaidis and had the opportunity to showcase her artistic vision by presenting her own short-length choreographic work at an art studio in Paris.
She is currently working with Euripides Laskaridis / OSMOSIS.
