MARIANA TZOUDA

AN UNUSUAL EYE

About the performance

An Unusual Eye is a performance about our responsibility to defend our true self. Throughout its duration, we follow a heroine who tries to break free from the trap of acting like everyone else. Constantly repeating the same patterns, without observing the final results of our action, makes it impossible for us to be our authentic selves. There is a remedy to the mass extinction of authenticity and that is to understand the importance of owning up to everything that we are and are not.

Admission is free for all.

The performance An Unusual Eye is presented as part of the Kalamata Dance Festival’s collaboration with the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, which aims to promote Messenia’s cultural heritage and contemporary cultural creation to international visitors.
