The Festival’s artists and students improvise together onstage.

Following its debut to an overwhelming response from both the public and the artists three years ago, the Art Within One event will take place again this year on July 18. The event will start at 11:00 and end at 14:00 at the Municipal Stadium of Kalamata, followed by the dance battle final at the Kalamata Main Square at 21:00, with the support of Flux Laboratory Athens.

Art Within One is a call to the Festival’s guest artists and to the students who participate in the professional workshops program to come together and share their art. The performance, during which participants are invited to communicate with their colleagues through dance, accompanied by music and showcasing their personal approach to movement within the span of a minute, is open to the public.

The musician and live music performer Alexis Falantas curates the music with timeless hits and singular remixes in a DJ set specially designed to accompany the dancers and the audience in their dance dialogue on stage.
